Frequently Asked Questions

Mediums, framing, sizes, packing, shipping and commissions, answered by Debbi.

The artwork

What medium are your original paintings?

I work with mostly acrylic paint and my mixed media is mainly water based materials and mediums; inks, crayons, markers, charcoals and pencils.

My other medium of choice are my works with watercolors and colored pencils. Ink is used on some of those.

Are your paintings framed?

Most of my work is on cradled wood panels and are sold unframed; these don’t necessarily need frames for a more modern look. I do wire them and have them ready for hanging where you want! It is less expensive for shipping without the frame and you have the opportunity to find a frame of your choosing after you receive the painting. A slim floater frame looks great on these!

Most works on paper come without a mat or frame, so you can choose the mat color and frame of your choice. A few pieces are sold already matted and framed, and each listing says so.

These available pieces come framed, with the frame included:

What sizes and prices are available?

Available originals currently range from 5" × 5" to 36" × 48" (height × width), on canvas, wood panel, masonite panel and paper, and are priced from $25 to $2,600 with US shipping included.

Notecards (4" × 6", with an envelope and a small original abstract on watercolor paper) are $5 each.

Will the painting look the same as the photos?

Each piece is photographed in natural light to ensure no discrepancies. Special care has been taken to show my work as accurately as possible in regards to size and color. The image might appear different due to slight variation between browsers, devices and screen settings.
